Why it matters
At dusk, a dark horse disappears.
Reflective strips only work once a headlight is already on you. HaloTack makes its own light, so drivers, cyclists and other riders notice you long before they're close.

What's inside

Three pieces that work together, at a better price than buying them one by one.

Why LED

Buckle the chest strap, wrap the four leg bands above the fetlocks and clip the tail light in place.

Questions riders ask
Write to us and a real person will reply within one business day.
Contact usWill it fit my horse?
Yes. Every piece adjusts: the chest strap with buckles, the leg bands with hook-and-loop closures. It fits ponies, cobs and Icelandics as well as full-size warmbloods.
Is it comfortable for my horse?
The straps are soft, lightweight nylon and the complete set weighs about 670 g (1.5 lb). Fit them snug but not tight: you should be able to slide two fingers under every strap.
Will the lights spook my horse?
Most horses accept them quickly. Let your horse sniff each piece, switch it on in the stable or arena first, and start with the steady mode before trying the flashing modes.
Can it overheat?
No. The LEDs are low-power and run on small coin-cell batteries, so they stay cool even after hours of use. There are no hot bulbs and no high-voltage parts.
How long does the battery last?
About 70 hours per battery. Each piece takes a standard CR2032 coin cell, sold in most supermarkets, and you can swap it in seconds.
Which light modes are there?
Steady, slow flash and fast flash. One press of the button moves through the modes and switches the light off.
Can I ride in the rain?
It copes with normal riding conditions, but it isn't waterproof. Avoid heavy rain, never submerge or hose it down, and let it dry fully before storing.
How long does it take to put on?
About two minutes. Buckle the chest strap, wrap the leg bands just above the fetlocks and fasten the tail light at the base of the tail.
What if it isn't right for us?
You have 30 days from delivery to send it back, free of charge. We refund the full amount to the card you paid with. Read the returns policy.
